Update: November 2019

Well it's been an eventful couple of months, everyone has been working hard on their fitness and we're all looking forward to next weekend's Marshal Training. Photo by Omø Photo Speaking of marshals, on behalf of the whole club I'd like to say a huge "Well done!" to our club Secretary and Treasurer,  Sadie Stewart. Sadie does a huge amount of marshal work in club and has recently been named Scotland's Knight Marshal. This will see her taking on the responsibility of marshal provision and training on a national level. As for the fight team, we've been busy too. Lily, Humes, Ewan and Dean travelled up to Glasgow, along with Malcolm and Jill on support/marshalling, for Buhurt Tactics Training. As a very new club events like this are crucial for the development of the team and it was a pleasure to work with all our fellow SKL members to not only learn a lot but have some fun. If you want to take a look at what we got up to, we've uploaded ...

Update: September 2019

It's been a busy Summer for us at Reivers! With several training sessions under our belts everyone in the team is starting to find their roles within the team and discover their strengths with certain weapons. We've discovered the value of in-club soft-kit tournaments, because as well as being great fun and a good training exercise for the team, it allows our marshalling and support members to come together and make sure everything is running smoothly. Mark Burdis recently won a sword and shield duels competition we held and we will be running our next mini-tournament on the 23rd November at NELSAM in Sunderland. It's really encouraging both as a team captain and fitness instructor to see the way the team have improved their fitness over the last few months, most of them are on target to meet national fitness requirements in order to try out to be part of national team for 2020 IMCF World Championships.

Update: May 2019

Hello, It's been quite an eventful few months since we decided to launch The Reivers MAC. Firstly we suffered the devastating loss of our club captain Gordon, who passed away surrounded by friends and family on the 5th April. It was never a question that the club would continue, it's what he would have wanted, so here we are. As well as booking our first few months training sessions in Coldstream (details of which are on the " Calendar " page), and actually getting this website live, we've had club members out in Ukraine acting as team support for this years IMCF World Championships. We did of course take a video diary which I intend to get edited and on to our YouTube channel soon. Right now our focus is on training hard and raising club funds (check out the " Merchandise " page). We hope we're going to have a lot more updates and news for you very soon, and if you are interested in joining and training with us as part of the team, ...

Welcome!
